Custom NTAG NFC Cards

Custom printed NFC cards built around NXP NTAG chips - NTAG213, NTAG215, NTAG216 and NTAG424 DNA - in PVC, PET, wood and metal. Supplied blank or fully branded with your logo, QR code and encoded NDEF link for tap-to-review, loyalty and product authentication.

Every card on this page is built around an NXP NTAG chip, the de-facto standard for tap-to-phone NFC. NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 are NFC Forum Type 2 Tag compliant and open on any modern phone with no app required; NTAG424 DNA adds an ISO/IEC 7816-4 file system and AES-128 security when a card has to prove it is genuine.

The chip is only half of the card. The body is chosen by the environment - PVC at 0.76 mm for loyalty and membership programmes, PET for a thinner premium feel, wood for hospitality and gifts, metal where the card has to survive rough handling. Every card is printed on Heidelberg offset presses with Pantone spot colours and full-colour CMYK, in the standard CR80 size of 85.5 by 54 mm or in a custom size of your own.

Before the cards are packed we encode the chip: your NDEF URL, vCard, Wi-Fi credentials or product authentication record is written to the memory and verified. The minimum order is 1000 pieces, standard production takes 7 to 10 working days, and free stock samples are available on request. All products are manufactured to your specifications. Sizes, materials, chips and printing options can be fully customized.

Choosing the Right NTAG Chip

The three Type 2 tags differ only in how much room you have. NTAG213 gives 144 bytes, which is enough for a short link or a plain URL record - that is all a review card or a table sticker needs. NTAG215 gives 504 bytes and is the usual choice for a full vCard, Wi-Fi credentials or a long URL with tracking parameters, and it is also the tag most often requested for loyalty and gift cards. NTAG216 gives 888 bytes for multi-record smart posters and payloads you expect to grow. When the card has to prove it is genuine rather than merely open a link, move up to NTAG424 DNA: it is a Type 4 Tag with an ISO/IEC 7816-4 file system, AES-128 encryption and SUN authentication, so every tap generates a fresh signed response that cannot be copied or replayed.

Printing and Surface Finishes

Every card is printed on Heidelberg offset presses with Pantone spot colours and full-colour CMYK, so a five-colour brand mark and a gradient background land on the same sheet. Finishes cover glossy, matt, glitter, metallic, laser engraving and a special lacquer for thermal or Epson inkjet printing. We also supply blank cards in any form, so a card that is overprinted in your own facility keeps the same chip, memory and dimensions.

Materials and Card Form

The body of the card is chosen by the environment. PVC at 0.76 mm is the standard for loyalty, membership and hotel programmes, PET gives a thinner and more premium feel, wood suits hospitality and gift applications, and metal is used where a card has to survive rough handling. Standard size is CR80 at 85.5 by 54 mm, and custom sizes and die-cut shapes are produced on request.

Encoding and Quality Control

Encoding is part of the order, not an afterthought: we write your NDEF URL, vCard, Wi-Fi credential or product authentication record to the chip before the cards are packed, and the written memory is read back to confirm it. Each order passes three inspections - after printing, after chip embedding and before shipping - and customers are welcome to visit the factory for a final check.

MOQ, Samples and Delivery

The minimum order is 1000 pieces and the same production line applies from there. Standard production runs 7 to 10 working days for quantities up to 50,000 pieces, with or without encoding, and express delivery takes a further 3 to 5 working days. We keep 3 to 5 stock samples on hand and send them free of charge, with only the freight payable by the buyer, and we can sign a non-disclosure agreement for long-term partners.

NTAG Chip Options Compared

All four chips come from the NXP NTAG family and share the same 13.56 MHz radio and ISO/IEC 14443A protocol. They differ in user memory, NFC Forum type and the level of cryptographic protection, which is what decides whether a card can simply open a web page or has to authenticate itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity for custom NTAG NFC cards?

The minimum order is 1000 pieces. From 1000 pieces upward the same offset printing, chip embedding, encoding and three-stage inspection line is used, so small and large runs are made to the same standard.

How long does production and delivery take?

Standard production takes 7 to 10 working days for quantities from 1 to 50,000 pieces, with or without encoding. After packing, express delivery by DHL, TNT, FedEx or UPS needs a further 3 to 5 working days.

Which NTAG chips can you fit into the cards?

We fit NXP NTAG213 with 144 bytes of user memory, NTAG215 with 504 bytes, NTAG216 with 888 bytes, and NTAG424 DNA with 416 bytes of user memory including a 256-byte NDEF file. All four are genuine NXP parts with a 7-byte UID and an ECC originality signature.

Can you print my logo and encode my link on the cards?

Yes. Send your artwork in vector format and we print it with offset presses using Pantone spot colours, then encode the chip with your NDEF URL, vCard, Wi-Fi credentials or product authentication record, read the memory back to confirm it, and only then pack the order.

Do you offer free samples?

We keep 3 to 5 pieces of stock samples on hand and send them free, only the freight is payable by the buyer. Customised samples are produced on request and are charged at production cost, usually 10 to 20 pieces.
